It is a spacious area designed to encourage children to explore in a variety of areas such as role play, construction, messy play and our quieter book corner and feelings area. The Rainbow Fish Room benefits from easy access to one of our two sensory rooms where children experience sensory seeking activities and calming lights.
Our Rainbow Fish have free-flow access into our large nursery garden where children love to spend time riding the bikes, climbing on and through out caterpillar tunnel and using their vivid imaginations to cook up ideas in the mud kitchen.
In our middle unit, we support children to develop their self-help skills. Children move from using two spoons to a spoon and a fork. They will also start to practice the skills of pouring drinks from a jug with the support from staff.
Our Rainbow Fish Room has an easy access bathroom where staff support children every step of the way in their toilet training journey, as we have areas for nappy changing, potties and low-level toilets and sinks.
