Your child being eligible for EYPP means that we receive an extra 60p per universal funded hour they attend. We use this extra funding in a variety of ways to help children to reach their full potential within their learning. In previous years, we have used EYPP money in the following ways:

  • We purchased a new large outdoor cascading water play centre for our preschool garden and a range of outdoor play equipment to help children with their physical development
  • We purchased a variety of toys for sensory play and development
  • Two members of staff took part in a virtual childcare conference which focused on supporting children with/or emerging special educational needs
  • The ‘Living Eggs’ project returned to our nursery where the children experienced eggs hatching into chicks and learnt about how to care for them

More recently we have used the EYPP money by:

  • We purchased a range of water resources, to enhance learning in Maths. These included cylinder sets, beakers, water spinners, funnels and pipettes. We used them to measure volumes.
  • We purchased a core book for each of the children “The 3 Little Pigs” for them to keep and share with their family at home.
  • The ‘Living Eggs’ project returned to our Nursery.
  • We took part in a Pizza making class run by Zebedees. We transformed the Pre-school garden playhouse into a pizza restaurant, to further support and enhance learning.

We plan to use our future EYPP money by:

  • Purchasing a copy of the current core book ‘Room on the Broom’ to share with their families at home.
  • Take part in a Pizza making class run by Zebedees working together with their parents.
  • We will be looking into funding a ‘Zoolab’ experience, with Reptiles.
  • We will be looking into funding a ‘Littlecity’ experience.
