We encourage free-flow play between the room and our large pre-school garden, which offers further challenges. The large sandpit is much loved, as is the bike area where children have choices of balance bikes, pedalled trikes, and cooperative multi-user bikes to share with friends.
In our middle unit, we support children to develop their self-help skills. The children move from using two spoons to a spoon and fork and they will start practising the skills of pouring drinks from a jug with support from staff.
The Angelfish Room has an easy access bathroom where staff support children every step of the way in their toilet training journey, as we have areas for nappy changing, potties and low-level toilets and sinks.
